SHELTER WITHOUT SHELTER
A film by MARK E BREEZE and TOM SCOTT-SMITH
SHELTER WITHOUT SHELTER explores the great hopes and profound challenges of providing refugee shelter across Europe and the Middle East since the Syrian civil war began in 2011. Filmed over two years, this documentary feature takes you behind the scenes to witness the human realities of refugee shelter, and hear from the people who created them, the migrants who have to live in them, and the critics who have campaigned against them. From mega-camps, city squats, and occupied airports, to informal settlements, requisitioned buildings, and flat-pack solutions, SHELTER WITHOUT SHELTER gives you unique insights into one of the greatest challenges of our times. We all need shelter, but what is it?
SHELTER WITHOUT SHELTER is the feature documentary debut of Emmy-nominee, director and cinematographer MARK E BREEZE, and producer and screenwriter TOM SCOTT-SMITH.
